The strategy describes the efforts and ambitions of NLF for the coming years
The rationale for the strategy:
- The world is constantly changing and the global medicine market is fragile – supply of medicine is not certain
- EU Commission proposed the largest revision of the EU pharmaceutical legislation in more than 20 years
- Increasing medicine prices due to demography and new innovative medicines
- The majority of new innovative medicines are very expensive and puts pressure on national health budgets
- These challenges are best dealt with if we work together
Main goal with the strategy is to establish strong purchasing collaborations across the Nordic region.
To reach this goal three substrategies have been identified:
- Innovative and strong purchasing collaborations
- Secure the supply
- A strong Nordic voice
